Boxelder1
The storm-damaged boxelder tree from which this bowl was turned came from Burlington’s Pomeroy park. Its trunk had a distinct irregular shape that is preserved in the rim of this natural edge bowl. The lacquer finish retains the light color of the wood and preserves the contrast with the traces of the boxelder’s red “flame” present in the bottom of the bowl.
